Been to Koh Samui a couple of times now, first time was in February 2004, then back at New Year 2006. What a awesome place! It caters for everyone: if your looking for cordial locals there is masses of them,if you want authentic thai food there is quite a little and night life is astonishing. If you want a low-priced holiday, you can have it – if you desire an costly holiday, you can have it as well. My dad is really in love with the place and has just bought into a hotel over there. My children love it as well. What a great place to celebrate New Year!

The hottest time of year to visit Koh Samui is during the dry season from March to late June. From approximately March through to October, temperatures regularly reach 30 Celsius. The rainy season is from November to February and temperatures during this time are around 20 Celsius. Despite the different shower here and there, there’s still plenty of beach weather. From July to October it sometimes rains off and on, but is still pleasant as the sun pokes through and rainbows are often seen. September and October can be nice times to visit as crowds and prices tend to decrease.
