31. Question: Which way do Brits turn? In the states when I am walking down the hallway and someone is coming at me we both go to the right to avoid each other (i.e I go to the right of the hallway they go to my left their right). I assume because we drive on the right side of the road so we are inclined to stay to the right. I was wondering since you drive on the wrong error I mean left side of the road to you tend to go to the left to avoid an oncoming pedestrian?

Answer: It varies, on the underground escalators you stand on the right, at school we were always told to walk on the left. So you usually end up with that awkward moment when you both go the same way and nearly collide.

32. Question: Applying for visa for New Zealand visa question help? Thinking of applying for a visa for New Zealand but have a criminal record for drugs it happened 10 years ago and have not been in trouble eveR since what are my chances of getting it or will I be refused.

Answer: It may depend where you are from. But i have been on a similar visa program and I remember seeing forms for filling out to let them know if you have a criminal record, they’re going to ask, why, what, where etc for it. Just be honest and don’t hide anything and you should be ok.

33. Question: I am planning my honeymoon and have no idea where is good and what might be a good route to take. If anyone has been to these areas your suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

Answer: Southern Thailand is amazing! I’ve been there twice. Everyone will give you ideas about the obvious places to go (bangkok or chiang mai) so try some of these places for the off the beaten track experience…

*Chieow Laan Lake and Khao Sok National Park

-stay on a floating bamboo hut in the middle of the rainforest. You can kayak, do a rainforest trek, and go cave exploring at Pra Kay Petch Cave (diamond cave). It’s like national geographic in there! At night you can see a million stars. The food is also good, there! It was a truly unique experience! I would suggest using a tour group as you are pretty much in the middle of nowhere and it helps to have someone else deal with the organizing and the language barrier. I was on an Intrepid travel group as part of the “southern Thailand” package”. I saw some people there that were with “Limestone Lake Tours”…google them and you’ll see some reviews on tripadvisor.

Check this site out for more info about this area

*Camping on Bamboo Island (near Krabi/Ao Nang Beach/or phi phi island)

You feel like you’re on a deserted beach! Local guides set up your tents, cook your meals, and take you by boat on a multi island tour. Again, I did this with my Intrepid Travel tour but you can google bamboo island or check out this website for tour packages/sample itinerary http://phi-phi.com/hotel/thailand/koh-ph… There were only 6 people in my group and it was like we were the only people on the beach. They have basic showers and toilets also (big plus!). I really liked this tour because we stopped by phi phi islands during the island tour. Great snorkeling!

*Phuket- be selective where you go as most places are overpopulated with hawkers, lady boys, and naked europeans on the beach! I personally loved Nai Yang Beach. Super secluded and has less people. If you like fancy hotels, then check out the Indigo Pearl. It’s a pricey high end resort, but worth every penny. Very ideal for a honeymoon! There are also other places right on the beach if you’re on a budget (Naiyang Sea View hotel or there are bungalows right on the beach).

Malaysia- to be honest this was the part of my trip I did not like because my tour group had a bad itinerary and poor accommodations, but here’s a couple places worth checking out…

*Kuala Lumpur- FRIM (forest research institute malaysia). I found the rainforest/canopy walkway in the Lonely Planet Guide. It’s little tricky to get to, but definitely manageable via train and then cab. It’s beautiful and has great views of the city. The canopy walk is worth the effort! Here is the website for more about FRIM http://www.frim.gov.my/index2.cfm?menu=e…

Penang- go to the northern side where the resorts are (away from chinatown/little India). The other parts of town are too run down and the beaches are not nice. I really enjoyed the Penang Butterfly Farm. It’s supposed the first one ever in the world. It’s next to Ferengi Beach and the national park. There is also an island tour that you can take that will bring you to the major tourist spots for the temples and historical sites.

*Did not like Perak or Melaka. Now that I’ve been to malaysia once I never would go again. Malaysia has a huge muslim population so make sure you are dressed appropriately/decent. Thailand has it all!

I highly suggest that you go to travelblog.org and look up places you’d like to see. It’s better to read other peoples experiences and see their pictures to get an idea of what you’re in for. Much better than using tripadvisor.com. Have fun!

  1. The food in Bangkok is yummy and cheap, all the Thais we met were very nice and anxious to help. We stayed at Nirvana Thai- a completely different place to the busy tourist trap in the west of Bangkok like that KhaoSan Road place.

  4. I was in Samui for the last three weeks of January 2007 and had a exceptional time – I always do! The grooviest part of the year is ‘tween late May until November (the monsoon season). When I was there, it rained down a a few times, but then speedily dried up after. Many people visit in the high season (November to March) because of enjoyable temperatures, red skies and low rain. As a result tourism is at its highest and everything can be a little more costly. Hotels and tours can be quite jam-packed and some tourist hot spots are not quite so laid back.

Even if you have a good knowledge of SEO & you try hard to get a good ranking, your site doesn’t do well. It is simply because your site needs to be optimized & maintained on a regular basis. It is a ongoing process which requires a lot of time. So, in this case, it is advisable to hire a Search Engine Optimization Company in UK for your website.
