37. Question: Is there a local track in Singapore? Or some place I can become a member of that has a track? I want to start doing some running. And what is better for losing weight sprint intervals or long distance. I am leaning towards sprinting cause I play tennis.
Answer : You can find quite near to your residential area. Singapore has lots of jogging tracks for short runs and park connector networks you can use for long runs (which sprawls across the island)
You can look in to nparks website.

38. Question: A little advice on Koh Samui please? I am off to Koh Samui in the last week May/first week in June for 12 nights. I wondered if anyone had been at this time and what the weather was like? I have looked on many websites and have read diffrent things about the weather at this time of year? I am also unsure of how much spending money to take? Any other tips/advice on Koh Samui would be great!
Answer:The weather should be ok. It will rain ,but,as said above,it ‘s heavy and brief .It’s actually quite nice and cools everything down a bit . The reason all the weather websites say different things is probably down to the fact it’s an island ,and the weather is very fast changing and a little unpredictable. On the whole though,it’s a good time to visit, the weather will not be a worry.

Koh Samui
For 12 nights and a real good time allow 700-800 GBP.Take a credit debit card, but don’t rely on it totally ,as it’s an expensive way to get hold of your money.Your bank back home will in most cases charge you to take money out,the bank in Thailand whos ATM you are using to withdraw will also charge you 150BHT on top, everytime you use it.The charges soon mount up if you are not careful. Travellers cheques are ok,you are charged 33bht for every cheque,so take high denomination cheques, but the exchange rate is good etc,and you are insured if you lose them. There are exchanges everywhere on Samui.
Tips: Chaweng Beach is the most beautiful. Bophut is nice, not such a nice sandy beach ,but quieter.. Maenam Beach is nice, but a bit far away from nightlife etc-If you hire a jeep though,it’s ok. For a night out Chaweng is better than Lamai. Jeeps should cost around 500-600 per day. Avoid renting a scooter-They are cheaper ,but really ,really dangerous. Don’t rely on taxis there, they are utter rip offs. Waterfall number 1 is rubbish ,but the others are pretty good. If you are goin to the Full Moon Party from Samui -Book a speedboat ticket in advance ,it will be cheaper than buying on the night from the pier.In advance should be around 600-I have seen them trying to get 800 BHT out of tourists on the actually night. Also if using speedboats to get to PhanYan-expect to pay another 100 BHT entrance fee to the party(This is a payment to the local mafia ******es,but you will have no choice). Theres a whole pile of Koh Samui links here for various things:Speedboats, cattamarans general useful stuff.
39. Question: How bad is traffic in LA? I will be coming for 4 days (Jul. 3- Jul. 7) for a stopover on my way from Toronto to HK and I was wondering how bad traffic will be if we rent a car? I went to New York last March and we drove in Manhattan and the streets were just terrible.
Answer:The street traffic here isn’t so bad, it’s the freeways. Since everything is so spread out (35 miles from Universal Studios to Disneyland, for example), you need to drive a car. The public transit is very slow and inefficient. Maybe in 20 years, a car may not be necessary. But the only thing worse than being stuck in traffic in a rental car is being stuck in traffic on a bus. At least with a rental car, you can choose your traveling companions and turn on some music (I recommend KRTH 101.1– You can listen to them at krth101.com to try them out).
